ICT (Information & Communication Tecnhology)

In the previous unit 3rd grade learnt about healthy habits and one of them was eating healthy. The Guard doesn’t know what eating healthy means. The whole class brainstorms about what eating healthy means.

The teacher explains that we can divide the food in different categories and gives an example with the food pyramid and tells how many times we should eat each category in a day.

The Guard is asking each group to look online for food that goes in the category they are given (fruit and vegetables, dairy, grain, protein, food high in sugar and salt and fats and oils) and write them in the app Mentimeter to make a word cloud.

Students must look at the other students’ answers in the word clouds and create their own food pyramid. Students must identify how many times they should eat each thing and write it down in their food pyramid.
