Near Victoria station, there is Buckingham Palace. It is a very big Palace and there are a lot of rooms. In Buckingham Palace lives Queen Elizabeth II. But it is a special home because many people in their holidays go to London and visit Buckingham Palace. There, they can meet the Guard.

Speaking
When we are travelling to another place in the world by plane, we use boarding passes, and they give us information about the place we are going.
Guessing game: Students see a boarding pass of a place the students are going to visit. Teacher asks the students:

Teacher guesses the city, the places and what is the weather like.

Speaking game: Each student has a boarding pass with a city they are going to go and a place they are going to visit. Each student must find someone who is going to visit the same city as him or her and write the name of the person who is visiting each place in the template.
Speaking game: One student is going to describe the places he is going to visit and what is the weather like and the other must guess which city is he going to visit.​

Reading
The whole class is going to read four advertisements about summer holidays from the newspaper the Guardian.
Reading exercise 1: Each student in the group is going to read a description of a character's holidays preferences. Each student describes to the rest of the group what his character wants to do in his summer holidays. Cooperatively they are going to match the characters with the advertisements.
Reading exercise 2: Individually, students must read some sentences related to the characters and the advertisements and they must find the grammatical and vocabulary mistakes in them.
Writing
Paddington bear has sent us a letter about his summer holidays and he is inviting 3rd grade classroom to come with him.
Writing exercise 1: Each student writes a letter inviting a classmate to come to the place he is going to visit this summer.
Writing exercise 2: Students will exchange their letters, read them, and orally say if they would like to go with his peer or not.
Promotion of reading + Education in values
Whole class reads the book “Arthur's family vacation” written by Mark Brown and answers some comprehension questions.​​

Moral: Even though he misses his friend, at the end he is happy with his family in his vacation. Every moment is worth it.

Activity: Students must write what things they are going to do in their vacation that are going to make them happy. Students read out loud what they have written, and they will put all the papers in a pot.
Project
Queen Elizabeth II has sent an email asking the 3rd grade students to come to London on summer holidays for a week.
Project's problem: Queen Elizabeth II is giving each group 1.000 pounds. Each group must decide how they are going to spend that money.
Exercises 1 and 2: Student must choose which fights they are going to get paying attention to the days she has told them and the hours.
Exercise 3: Queen Elizabeth II is going to give them a brochure with all the options and the money each option costs. In groups, they have to decide.
ICT (Information & Communication Tecnhology)
Each group is going to review what they chose yesterday from all the options.
